Our Language. Our Identity. Our Future.
A major, monumental milestone for the Academy is to create a home for Hebrew in the heart of Jerusalem, called the Minve.
This modern, sprawling center will house a National Museum for the Hebrew Language, as well as the organization’s educational initiatives, archives and research projects.
The Museum of the Hebrew Language – the first and only museum of its kind – will present a visual, audio, and experiential picture of Hebrew that is based on scientific research and welcomes visitors from all over the world.
The Academy of the Hebrew Language:
A World Without Hebrew, Is A World Without Us.
Since the creation of the Academy of the Hebrew Language, the organization has been dedicated to multiple endeavors which will be expanded in the Minve:
The Hebrew language is not just a tool for communication. It is the heart of our culture – in literature, journalism, theater, cinema and music, as well as in podcasts and social networks. It reflects our identity and our past, the reality of our lives today and also our dreams for the future. It is a connecting thread between generations, between communities and between diasporas, and it connects us to a rich and glorious heritage.
